The product
The CarbonWorks carbon bottle cage weighs just 5 grams in its lightest version. Besides its record weight it offers clear aerodynamic advantages, high strength and an excellent grip on the bottle. All carbon parts are made by hand in Germany, and the design is registered with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.
Details
5 grams: perfect for hill climbs and weight-weenie builds.
8 and 9 grams: with a specially developed protective coating on the carbon tubes:
- better grip on the bottle
- longer service life
- soft surface that is gentle on the bottle
Our recommendation: 9 grams. This version also has a replaceable aluminium retaining hook, recognisable by its laser engraving. Besides the standard length of 38 mm (hole centre to stop) there is an optional short version with 34 mm for small frames. If it ever gets damaged, the hook is replaced quickly and at low cost.

The story
My first product and still my flagship today.
As a school student, I spent a whole year tinkering with this bottle cage. It was the beginning of CarbonWorks and is still one of my best-selling products today.
Without changing its design language, I have kept optimising it over the years: aerodynamically efficient, with excellent bottle retention and a weight that is hard to beat. All carbon parts are made by hand in Germany.

Frequently asked questions about the bottle cage
Does the bottle cage fit my bike?
Almost any bike: the hole spacing is flexible from 60 to 75 mm. Matching M5 x 16 mm countersunk screws (DIN 965) are included.
Which version do you recommend?
For most riders, the 9 gram version: it has the protective layer for better grip and longer durability, plus the replaceable retention tab. The 5 gram version is ideal for road bikes, hill climbs and lightweight projects. I only recommend it to a limited extent for mountain bikes, and bottles should be no larger than 750 ml.
Is there a version for small frames?
Yes, the 9 gram version is optionally available with a short retention tab of 34 mm instead of 38 mm. Just send me a short message to info [at] carbonworks.de.
What happens if the cage is damaged in a crash?
Through the crash replacement service we find a solution at individual conditions. On the 9 gram version, the retention tab can also be replaced separately. More in the FAQ.
