My highest target is to satisfy my customers, so I would like to give you some more information:
I always recommend the 9 grams version because of its protection-layer!
By virtue of this layer this version has:
- more grip to hold the bottle stronger
- a smoother surface to protect the bottle from scratches
- a longer life expectancy (especially when riding very often in rain with much dirt between bottle and cage)
The 5 grams version will be available again in future. But I recommend them only for ultra-lightweight racebikes, which are not driven so often in the rain. Please use max. 750 ml bottles.
Please send us a short email to info@carbonworks.de with a picture of the stem on which the screws are clearly visible.
1st possibility:
Remove a screw and measure the thread diameter.

M4 approx. 3.9 mm
M5 approx. 4.8 mm
M6 approx. 5.8 mm
2nd possibility:
Check the screw driver.

M4 usually Torx T20
M5 usually H4.0 hexagon socket 4 mm
M6 usually H5.0 hexagon socket 5 mm
The adapters are usually also referred to as inserts and generally have two openings for fastening with two M3 countersunk screws. With Garmin inserts, the screws are usually one behind the other in the direction of travel - the distance from the centre of the screw to the centre of the screw is usually 20 mm, although inserts with 22 mm are also available on the market in some cases.

All our mounts allow the installation of Garmin inserts.
Sigma also uses the same inserts as Garmin.
On the Wahoo inserts, the screws are arranged transversely, i.e. side by side when viewed in the direction of travel.
For our angle-adjustable versions, we offer an additional adapter plate for mounting the Wahoo inserts. The same applies to Polar.

When changing from Wahoo to Garmin, only the Wahoo insert and the adapter plate need to be removed.
Many of our mounts (usually the ones that are not adjustable in angle) have four threaded mounts, two behind each other (Garmin etc.) and two next to each other (Wahoo etc.).
CarbonWorks does not manufacture its own inserts. We recommend the inserts from K-edge, especially for Garmin. These are readily available and very stable.
If you also need the adapter plate to change to Wahoo, you can order a complete conversion kit including screws, adapter plate and Wahoo insert as a service option for 10 euros in our webshop.
Unfortunately, lightweight aluminium stems such as the Extralite or the Darimo IX2AL have very thin M4 bolts for which we do not offer a direct mount on the bolts for safety reasons.

However, Darimo also offers its stem in a reinforced version with M5 bolts - the MasterMount will then fit.
Due to its design, the Garmin Edge 1050 requires a particularly long computer mount. Conventional mounts may be too short.

We therefore have an extra-long version for the MasterMount. This can be selected in the webshop. If you already have a MasterMount in the normal length, you can order a set of longer carbon-tube-screws for 20 euros. Simply select the service option twice - the last product in the webshop and please leave a short note in the order checkout.<br
The Integral-Mount - multifunctional usually also fits due to its variable length adjustability.
Alternatively, the longer THM-Frontale-Mount can be used for integrated handlebar-stem combinations that have two consecutive threads on the underside.
In principle, this is not necessary, but we recommend it especially for heavy and expensive computers. Even though most of our mounts have never broken, the small round adapter/insert on which the computer is turned is a relatively weak component that can break.

These were designed by manufacturers such as Garmin to be weaker than the counterpart on the underside of the computer and are the first to fail. Even though breakages are very rare, this connection point is the weakest point under extreme loads such as potholes. That's why you definitely can't go wrong with a safety cord around the handlebars.
Don't worry if a product is damaged due to a fall, for example. Please send us a short, uncomplicated e-mail with the following information:

1. a picture of the product on which it can be fully recognised and a detailed view of the damage.
2. the suspected or known cause of the damage
3. a copy of the invoice or name and address
We will always find a solution.
All customers should receive a high-quality product with excellent customer support at the same price. For this reason, there are no discount campaigns or similar.
